Warming Socks

Starting to feel low or like you are on the cusp of a cold or another acute illness? Warming socks may be the perfect antidote.

Warming socks increase circulation, stimulate the immune system and decrease congestion. Some people even find that they sleep more peacefully and handle stress better when using them on a regular basis.

What to do:
Before bed in the evening, take a hot shower or bath, or soak your feet in hot water for five minutes or longer. Soak a pair of cotton socks in cool water. Wring them out well so that they are damp rather than dripping wet. After drying off, put the wet cotton socks on your pre-warmed feet. Then put a pair of warm wool socks over the cotton ones and go to bed. In the morning when you wake, the cotton socks should be warm and dry.
